About Me
Amy Rotz, MFT, MDFT
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) with additional training in child centered play therapy, psychodynamic treatment, and medical family therapy with a focus in pregnancy and postpartum mental health.
I completed my training at Seattle Pacific University in 2015 and have clinical experience in community mental health, a pregnancy and postpartum clinic, and private practice. Before working as a psychotherapist, I worked in an alternative school for vulnerable children. Working with vulnerable youth and their parents, I became interested in how family patterns are repeated across time, and passionate about helping individuals, children, and families create newer and healthier ways of being.
I provide individual, couples, and family therapy from the integrated developmental approach of Family Systems Theory and Psychodynamic Theories. I also integrate play therapy, emotionally focused therapy, and strengths based treatment and intervention. I tailor my approach to each client, couple, and family to provide them with personalized support.
